Ikea founder Ingvar Kamprad built an impressive $46-billion fortune before he died and now we learn that half of that will be divided among his four children and the other half will go to charities in Sweden, where he is from. When he died, Kamprad was the eighth-richest person on Earth, but he still lived a frugal lifestyle, wearing clothes from the flea market and driving a 1993 Volvo.

Kamprad’s will instructs that half of his money - $23-billion! - be left to the Kamprad Family Foundation with the task of “reviving northern Sweden’s industrial sector.” Ikea Foundation director explains that “Kamprad wanted to make it possible for young people to live there, and not have to leave.”
