The nominations for the 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced Wednesday. See the full list of SAG Awards nominees below!
Olivia Munn and Niecy Nash announced the nominees early Wednesday morning at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The annual award ceremony, which has often predicted the Oscar winners, celebrates the very best acting performances in television and movies. One actor guaranteed to be taking home a trophy is Morgan Freeman, who will be honored with SAG’s coveted Life Achievement Award. The accolade was previously held by Lily Tomlin.
Earlier this month, Kristen Bell was named the first-ever host of the SAG Awards. To celebrate the historic announcement, the actress shared a comical video of herself discussing the upcoming event.
“I’ve been asked to host the SAG Awards this year, which means, to all my friends who’ve been nominated, I get to choose who wins!” she joked, before being informed that she won’t actually be choosing the night’s winners. “That’s not how it works? Then what am I doing? Like, Anne Hathaway and James Franco did? I’m doing that? Why, did I lose a bet?”
The 24th annual SAG Awards will air live January 21 on TNT and TBS. Check out the full list of nominees below!
